ICT has a pivotal role in our modern digital society and it is rapidly changing the way that we live our lives. It is something that is becoming increasingly important for everyone and some experts predict that within five years up to 90% of the workforce will use ICT daily. As well as developing a more technical ICT skill base, those who study Sixth Form ICT will gain valuable decision-making and communication skills which will support further study in any subject area. The course has a broad appeal and is suitable for those who wish to pursue a career in ICT or Computing as well as those who would like to develop their ICT skills and knowledge.

You will use professional software and a range of hardware in order to learn about recent developments in ICT and to pursue ICT projects of your own choice. There is a strong focus on the Internet and on Multimedia, with website design and creation being a key element of all strands of the course. We will teach you project management skills and how to develop and refine ICT products, teaching you how to work effectively as an individual and as part of a group. The course has a significant practical element and you will be taught by a team of skilled subject specialists in modern and well equipped ICT suites.
