Assessment
Both Single Award and Double Award ICT have a significant coursework element as outlined in the table below.

Overall, Single Award ICT comprises of 66% coursework and 33% practical examination. Double Award ICT comprises of 83% coursework and 17% practical examination. All coursework elements are assessed internally via an electronic portfolio of evidence which is sent to Edexcel for external verification. In the practical examinations, students will complete computer-based tasks in controlled examination conditions.
