Exam Results A level

Results for A level English Literature have been excellent for a number of years now. Last year, in particular, the results were astounding and place the department as one of the most successful A level departments in the country. The percentage of students achieving an A* grade in English Literature at Sir John Lawes is now double the percentage of students gaining A* grades in English Literature in independent schools and six times the percentage of students gaining A* nationally!

• 44% of students achieved A* grades
• 66% of students achieved A*-A grades
• 88% of students achieved A*-B grades
• 100% of students achieved A*-C grades
