Economics is present in every aspect of our lives, every day of our lives. It relates to resources and money, how we get it, what we do with it once we have it and how we get more of it! It's about life. So it's 100% relevant. Economics is a social science - it looks at the way people, firms and governments interact. Both Micro and Macro Economics are studied at both levels. Students are encouraged to read around the subject and keep up with Economics in the news.
