Introduction

Board: OCR

Critical Thinking is a skills based course – not content driven - which develops your thinking skills by focussing on arguments and helping you assess how good they are – at school, in the media, in life in general! It helps you identify and evaluate the main points of arguments, assess the credibility of sources and evidence, improve your own arguments and improve your confidence in handling material.

It is a particularly good course for students who might be considering studying Law or Medicine at university as it is very similar to the LNAT and BMAT exams that students are required to take when applying for those courses.

As Critical Thinking is only offered at AS students should only choose this course as a 5th option where it can be taken in substitution for General Studies.
