You do not need to have studied Business Studies at GCSE. However, you will be expected to make a full contribution, both in the classroom and by concentrated private study. You must also possess a genuine interest in current affairs.

As for all Applied GCE courses you are expected to achieve a minimum of 5 GCSE passes at grade A-C, with Bs in English and Mathematics being necessary.

The aim is to provide a broad study of the core of business with the opportunity to specialise through the options or broaden the specialisms of marketing, finance or management.
