The industry covers a range of job roles including fitness instructors, equipment supply, stadium or activity centre management, ground keepers and play workers. This sector is predicted to grow and additional volunteers will be needed for London 2012 Olympics and Paralympic Games. You do not need to be an athlete, but you should have an understanding of the importance of leading an active and healthy lifestyle. The industry is often seen as a way to get into other careers, such as journalism, teaching or business management.
